Lavender Fields

$1,650.00

16x20”

Acrylic on Canvas

A struggle at first, this painting required my starting over twice before it finally headed in a direction that I liked and could follow to completion. This abstraction leaned toward a landscape direction, a natural for me, and the end result is a myriad of different kinds of abstracting coming together to create what nature does naturally.

Anyone who think abstracts might be easy and anyone can do them, needs to give it a try! It is a difficult road to go down, especially after years of doing representational art. It’s very intuitive, and requires much deeper listening, from a place not easily reached or heard. But it’s a place I want to get more in touch with, a very spiritual place, that I want to live from.
