Fragments of Shalom: Flying Higher

$1,575.00

18x24”

Acrylic on Canvas

This painting was completed during the week that Israel was attacked and many of my people murdered. To say that the emotions have been high is to put it lightly. But I realized after I finished it that these emotions had come out on the canvas. Chaos, turmoil, even flying higher and seeing triumph, are all things I see in this painting. But it needs a title. Send me your ideas.

An update…. thanks to all my subscribers who sent in ideas for the title of this painting. Some talked about how Shalom (peace) feels fragmented right now, and others spoke of seeing birds flying higher, but in chaos and pieces. So I have combined your ideas. I saw much the same things once the painting was finished. I knew there was something there about peace, birds, the dove of peace in particular, and the striving of Israel to reach true peace. My painting is prayer… and my prayer is for Israel. Always. Am Israel Chai.
