As the year is coming to an end, I find myself looking back and seeing what’s been accomplished over the last twelve months. And I think I’ve done great! I’m actually quite pleased with myself….

How to Grow in Middleage
After all that yellow, I go back to what is still my favourite colour. Blue. The painting isn’t finished yet, but I’ve been reveling and wallowing in all that blue.
You may have noticed… I’ve changed the name of my blog. Now it’s called “Puddles and Yellow Hats.” A little more interesting than just a day in the life of an artist. This is my third post under the new title. I am trying to write once a week. So far, so good.
I thought the new title needed some explanation, so here goes….
Came home from work yesterday. Got a call from my sister in Vancouver. The family dog, Belle, died.
She was old, Belle was, so my sister was under strict instruction not to call me at work if she dies. I knew I would blubber like a baby when she died. Which I did. Most of the evening. See, Belle and I were close….
Two days ago was Tuesday, November 13, 2018. It was what would have been my 25th wedding anniversary. He didn’t die, we divorced over eight years ago. But still, I woke up, realized what day it was and thought I needed to change gears. Fill the head with other thoughts.
So I did what everybody does. I picked up my phone to see what was new….
